More information

Saturday, 25 August 2001, around 11 am: meet at 700 Jewell Avenue, Pacific Grove. Jewell Avenue is a continuation of Ocean View Blvd. that follows the waterfront from Monterey. When you get to the stop sign at Lovers Point, keep going straight & it becomes Jewell Ave.- we're about a block or so down the road on the right side; look for my dark green Land Rover 109 station wagon- that's registration. After a while we'll start sending out entrants on a wine tour or treasure hunt or some such foolishness. We'll probably get bored much after 2 or 3 & just leave so plan on arriving before then. Please. If we don't get you too lost there will be a VERY informal recommended "pub crawl" in the evening. Please consume responsibly.

Sunday, 26 August 2001, 8 to 10 am: registration at Forest & Lighthouse Avenues in downtown Pacific Grove. The meet will be along Lighthouse Avenue, lasting till 3 pm. Silly prizes, lots of car talk, some merchant participation & vendors, & stuff we give away. Everyone gets a dash plaque & a cup & whatever else we come up with. No judging or stupid "people's choices" or such. Our usual panel of unqualified "judges" (always willing to talk "bribe") will as usual select (for no particular good reason, but probably a distinguished list of bad ones) cars "deserving" of leaving with more than they arrived with (maybe a judge who needs a ride?) or whatever.
No gasoline coupons, we can't afford it. Hope you can make it, we need the $$!

Hope that fills you in. Bring $40 each, por favor. Best to all,

Rich Saylor
