Get the car on a flat surface 8' from the wall, I use a parking structure wall at my office.

Open the hood and grab a long Phillips screw driver. I believe it's a 12" with a #2 tip. Here is mine.

It fits right here, there is no need to push hard or force it,
just slip it in gently till it stops.

You might need a flashlight to see the gear wheel (see arrow).

The screwdriver fits in the hole like the X in the picture.

It takes several revolutions to see any type a change, if memory serves it's clockwise for up and counter clockwise for down.

In this picture I had it set at 26" from the ground but have since moved it up to 27.5", that seems to be the "just high enough" not to bug people. Notice the hot-spot at 26" that is what you are measuring to. If your car is lowered, the measurements should be lowered roughly the amount of the drop from stock. Keep in mind that small adjustments at eight feet are rather large adjustments at forty feet. What you are looking for is a beam that is nearly parallel with the road with a slight angle down, if you notice that it angled up, you may need to adjust them a bit lower.

Example: If the headlights are 1" closer to the ground, try 26.5".

Nobody has flashed me since I did this adjustment and it seems to cut off right at the top of the average trunk.

You should not go higher than 27.5" and in some cases this may even be a bit high, so adjust on the side of caution and test them.

I love the back roads now!
